Quotes
"The lesson here, my Daughter," he looked from one to the other, "is that Afghanistan has always been the home of the bravest woman in the world. You are all brave woman. You are inheritors of the courage of Malali."
This breathtaking quote is from page 31 showing courage, perseverance as only a little girl (younger than Nooria). It was a story Parvanas father knew from the 1880s as a young girl took on something extrodinary, she stood up to the Afghan troops and told the army, we are not going to loose, we are going to win this battle once and for all against the British! I believe that this heart toughing quote would have impacted many people in multiple ways. This has impacted me by that you should never give up on something and stand for what you believe in even though you might not think it is right.
“Am I travelling as your son or your daughter?” Parvana asked father. “ You decide, either way you will be my little malali.” Her father does not care who she is and she can decide who she want to be in life if it’s to be a boy or a girl.
This meaningful quote is on page 166 showing that no matter who you are and what you do to change yourself, it wont matter because that person will love you just the way you are. It make you feel like you are accepted by someone important and you know that they will be with you no matter what life throws at you. You know that you can trust them and talk to them about anything. i believe that this powerful quote has touch many peoples life and has made a difference to mine.
Most people in Afghanistan could not read or write. Parvana was one of the lucky ones. Both of her parents had been to university, and they believed in education for everyone, even girls. This education quote is on page 11 saying how lucky you would be if you had a good education while your country was at battle or even any time. It was very rare to see girls at school as there was a law for all women to stay inside. Parvana is one of the lucky ones because she both had educated parents, but this isn't the case for most kids. To have a good education it is one of the most important things you need to have in life to get somewhere or to succeed.
